“History is Now” with Darrin Hagen – Monday, March 9 at 7 p.m.
Join us at the Forum on the University of Alberta’s Augustana campus to listen to Darrin Hagen’s stories of his deep-dives into the research of the LGBTQ2S+ history of Edmonton, touching on details of the Pisces Bathhouse Raid, the Same-Sex Trials of 1942, the Delwin Vriend Supreme Court decision, and his own relationship with the Flashback archives. Not only do these stories shine a light on a community’s long march towards equality, but they act as a warning, showing how quickly human rights can be stripped away.

Whether you’re a seasoned crafter or just starting out, this event is for everyone who wants to celebrate LGBTQ+ pride through art. Free food provided! Let’s come together to bead, bond, and spread love and positivity.

So You Think You Can Drag – Friday, March 13 at 8 p.m. (Doors at 7 p.m.)
The Augustana Students’ Association returns to the Bailey Theatre with So You Think You Can Drag! One of the most highly anticipated Pride Week Events, SYTYCD offers a platform for students and community members to showcase their talent and creativity. The competition is open to everyone, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, or experience level and the top three amateur performers win cash prizes! Those interested in performing can sign-up online.
